The University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team lost at George Mason Saturday, 61-50.

 

The game was a big challenge — George Mason is now 11-0 at home.

With the loss, the Rams are 9-6, 0-2 in the A-10. George Mason improves to 14-1 and 2-0.

 

The Rams were led by Myles Corey, who scored 12 points. Mason’s Stas Sivka was the game’s top scorer with 17 points.

 

It was a tough shooting day for URI — shooting just 35% from the field, 29% from behind the 3-point lines, and anemic 33% from the foul line.

 

The Rams’ most every category in the game and only led for 2:36 in the game — the Rams’ last lead was at 33-31.

 

The loss drops the Rams to #120 on the KenPom ranking.

The Rams play at Dayton on Tuesday night. The Flyers are 11-4 and 2-0 in the A-10. Dayton is ranked #79 on KenPom.
