URI Men's Basketball Beats Holy Cross in Comeback, Now 2-0

The University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team defeated Holy Cross College on Friday night at the Ryan Center 91-77.

The Rams trailed 44-40 at the half, but it was all Rhode Island in the second half.

URI outscored the Crusaders 51-33 in the second half.

The Rams move to 2-0, and Holy Cross Falls to 0-2.

Star Performances

The Rams were led by David Greens 25 points and Javonte Brown’s 18 points and 6 rebounds.

Jaden House added 17 points and 8 rebounds.

And, URI point guard Sebastian Thomas scored 10 points and led the Rams with 9 assists.

The Rams shot 68% from the field in the second half.
