URI Loses Another Player to Portal — 7 Rams Now Look to Transfer

The University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team has lost another player to the transfer portal.

Now, Zek Montgomery, who was the Rams' fourth-leading scorer and started 15 of 31 games, is looking to leave Kingston.

He averaged 9.6 points a game this past season.

The highlight of the season was when he scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed five rebounds at George Washington.

He transferred to URI after two seasons at Bradley.

Montgomery is now the 7th Ram to enter the portal.
