Delta Air Lines’ Flight Resumption at T. F. Green Airport (PVD)
The resumption of Delta Air Lines’ nonstop service between ATL and PVD follows Delta Air Lines’ temporary suspension of service to PVD in the spring of 2020 during the midst of the pandemic. The T. F. Green Airport March-April Delta schedule is as follows:

In addition, Delta Air Lines has also announced that they will begin providing daily nonstop seasonal service between Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), Delta Air Lines’ third-largest hub, and PVD, starting May 28, 2021, establishing a convenient way for passengers in Rhode Island, nearby Connecticut, and Massachusetts to reach Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and other destinations throughout the West and Mid-West.
With PVD now featuring direct service to two of Delta Air Lines largest gateways, travelers to and from southern New England will have an increased selection of connecting options from the Southeast to West Coast and throughout the United States during the upcoming summer travel season, along with Delta’s international destinations as available. Delta Air Lines continues to monitor consumer demand for travel and has yet to announce a date for the restoration of service between PVD and Detroit (DTW), which was temporarily suspended in 2020.
RIAC said, that PVD continues to do its part to help foster safe travels with enhanced sanitization and cleaning protocols throughout the airport and free “PVD Cares Kits,” which includes a free face covering, hand sanitizer and sanitary wipes, available to travelers. RIAC continues to encourage travelers to be mindful of the federal government’s FlyHelathy.gov guidance which provides an overview of all phases of safe air travel and was pleased that Harvard’s Aviation Public Health Initiative (APHI) recently issued a comprehensive report on the risk of coronavirus transmission in airports, which found that the probability of being infected in an airport is very low.
