Green is to ensure that every passenger and worker that walks into this environment is in a safe and healthy environment. I can say confidently that everyone here is going above and beyond their duty to ensure this is a safe place to be.”
“We also have a dedicated COVID-19 page on our website — everyone can check that out and see what we’re doing to ensure safe travel,” she added. “We’re also offering free face masks at the information desk for anyone who might have left their mask at home."
This week, a new DoD study was released that suggests it’s "very hard" to contract COVID-19 on an airplane.
What Winning Awards Means to Green — and RI
Wright also talked about Green winning a number of awards over the past year — and why it matters.
“You phrased it perfectly when you said we’ve got an Emmy, Grammy, and an Oscar,” said Wright. “So we’ve won three awards now, the first started with USA Today, we became the second best small airport in the country, and then Conde Nast, [where] travelers listed us as number four in their readers choice award. And Travel and Leisure listed us as the 5th top airport in the country. “
“So we’re super honored to have all these achievements, it means a lot to us here at T.F. Green,” she continued. “I think what’s really important too is that this is a helpful boost to the travel and tourism industry here in our state as we prepare for our road the recovery. I think it’s an example of how we’re putting customer service first — this is a great accomplishment for us.”
