People on the Move: Gilbane Development Taps Brian Killinger as Head of Asset Management
Gilbane Development, a nationally recognized leader in integrated real estate development, is proud to announce the appointment of Brian Killinger as Head of Asset Management. In this new role, Killinger will oversee the firm’s growing real estate portfolios and drive long-term value for investors, clients, and partners. Prior to joining Gilbane, Killinger directed a regional portfolio of 200 multifamily properties consisting of more than 70,000 apartments in the Eastern United States in his capacity as Senior Vice President, Asset Management, at LivCor, LLC.
At Gilbane, Killinger’s responsibilities include oversight of a national portfolio of 8,000+ units of multifamily housing, 3,550 purpose-built student housing beds, office and retail assets, as well as management of over $1 billion in residential assets under development, with plans to significantly expand the portfolio in five years.

Prior to joining Gilbane in the firm’s Boston offices, Killinger served as Senior Vice President, Asset Management, at LivCor for nearly a decade. Among many other responsibilities, he served as a member of the senior leadership team tasked with developing and improving company-wide protocols and implementing systems to create efficiencies and optimize investment performance to grow the portfolio. Prior to that, Killinger was Senior Asset Manager for Steadfast Companies in Austin, Texas. Before that, he served as Vice President, Asset Management, at Wentwood Capital Advisors. Killinger began his career at Michel Associates in 2005 after graduating from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts.
