"Disturbance Involving Baseball Bats" Reported at Lounge on Federal Hill in Providence

Providence Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a lounge on Federal Hill in Providence on Sunday allegedly involving baseball bats -- and ultimately made a weapons arrest. 

The incident reportedly occurred on the same day the city recorded its second homicide of the week -- and twelfth of the year.

On Sunday, police responded to South Beach Lounge on Atwells Avenue for a "report of a disturbance involving baseball bats."

Upon arrival, security pointed out a vehicle involved in the disturbance which was parked in the Walgreen parking lot, according to police. 

Police approached the vehicle and said they identified the lone occupant in the front passenger seat as Gabriella Watt.  

Watt told police that she had been involved in an earlier altercation at South Beach.   

During a search of the vehicle, police located a .45 caliber PT-145 Millennium handgun between the front two passenger seats.    

Detectives charged Watt with carrying a pistol without a license
