Multiple units responded to the scene and began to disperse the crowd, and according to police gave loud verbal commands for the group to leave the area.
While attempting to disperse the crowd, police said two females -- Artavvia Godett and Ariana Turner -- refused to listen and continued to agitate the crowd by screaming obscenities to the other group of female subjects,
Police said Godett ignored commands and continued her disorderly behavior and was ultimately placed into custody and seated in the rear of marked police cruiser; Turner was placed in the rear of a police cruiser where police observed her to have a bloody nose at which time a rescue was summoned.
Turner told police multiple female subjects were in front of her home yelling for her to come outside. She told police she never had any problems with the women in the past, but went outside at which time a verbal altercation between Turner and the women became physical.

While police were placing Godett into handcuffs, a man identified as Marlo Jackson ran towards police and reportedly attempted to separate Godett by pushing police away from her, according to police.
Police state that while placing Jackson into custody, he tried to flee and was ultimately placed into custody and seated in the rear of marked police cruiser.
As police were continuing to disperse the crowd and telling people to go inside, a man identified as Hakim Pettus refused to listen to commands to disperse, police said, and "continued shouting obscenities" towards police.
"Pettus’ loud and aggressive behavior caused a crowd of disinterested subjects across the street to begin to gather," according to police, who attempted to place him into hand restraints. When he began to pull away and refused to put his hands behind his back, police said Pettus was taken to the ground and placed into custody.

Following the incident, a review of the officer's body-worn camera showed Turner to be the subject who initially sprayed the unknown aerosol substance that affected the officer, who was transported to Roger Williams Hospital for treatment.
