Police then learned that the victim had been shot once in the back, and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for further evaluation.
Detectives then responded to Rhode Island Hospital and spoke with the victim, who told police that he was sitting in his vehicle on Radcliffe Street with his brother when two unknown subjects approached his vehicle and began shooting several times.
The victim only stated that both subjects were wearing “hoodies pulled tight” and could not provide any further information.
Detectives also spoke with a witness who was on the scene when the shooting occurred.
The witness stated that he had seen two subjects, dressed in a red hoodie and black hoodie approach the victim's vehicle, begin shooting, and flee on foot. The witness could provide no further information and declined to provide an audio recorded statement.
Police were unable to locate the victim's brother or the vehicle that was shot into at this time.
