Providence Police Investigating Stabbing at Dexter Park

Providence Police are investigating a report of a stabbing at Dexter Park on Wednesday night. 

About Incident

Police responded to a house in the vicinity of the park shortly after 10 PM for the report of a stabbing.

According to police, the victim, who was inside his apartment, was bleeding heavily from his lower back. 

Police say the victim told them he had gone to the park to work out, when he was hit in the face with an unknown object and then assaulted by two males. 

He said he was stabbed multiple times and robbed.

The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
