A Providence police officer was hospitalized following a car crash in the area of Brigham Street and Junction Street on Friday.

The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements tells GoLocal that the officer has been released. The officer did not sustain serious injuries.
