Two Die in I-95 Crash, Announce RI State Police

The Rhode Island State Police, along with West Warwick Fire and Rescue, Warwick Fire and Rescue, Hopkins Hill Fire and Rescue, and East Greenwich Fire and Rescue, responded late Saturday night to a serious motor vehicle crash on Route 95.

 

At approximately 11:38 p.m. on November 15, 2025, first responders received reports of a vehicle that had veered off the roadway and into the tree line. Upon arrival, Troopers discovered a silver Toyota that had lost control, exited the highway, and struck a tree.

All six occupants were trapped inside the vehicle and required extrication by fire and rescue personnel.

 

Five of the occupants were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries. One of the passengers, Ayanna Voyak, age 19, of Hartford, Connecticut, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second passenger, Aisha Jules, age 19, of New London, Connecticut, died as a result of her injuries at the hospital.

 

The names of the other individuals involved in the accident have not been released. Their conditions have not been released.

 

The Rhode Island State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
