Brown Basketball Picked 5th in Ivy League Preseason Poll

Brown was picked to finish 5th in Ivy League
The Brown men’s basketball team has been picked to finish fifth in the Ivy League Preseason Poll.

The Bears finished 20-12 overall last season and 7-7 in the Ivy League.

They advanced to the College Basketball Invitation Tournament where they beat UAB, before falling to Loyola Marymount in the second round.

In 2019-20, the Bears welcome back Tamenang Choh and Brandon Anderson, as well as, señor forward Joshua Howard and senior guard Zach Hunsaker.

The Poll

Harvard was unanimously picked to finish with 134 points and 15 of the 17 first-place votes.

Following Harvard is Penn with 117 votes, Yale with 94 votes, Princeton with 88 votes and Brown with 62.

Columbia, Cornell, and Dartmouth round out the bottom of the poll with 51, 33 and 33 votes respectively.

Season Opener

The Bears open the season on November 5 when they visit Bryant University and will host Canisius at the Pizzitola Center on Saturday, November 9.

Tip-off for that game is set for 4:30 p.m.

The 2020 Ivy League Tournament will be held on the Harvard campus, March 14-15.
