Brown Lax Alum Kelly Named Major League Lacrosse Rookie of the Year

Kelly, now with the Denver Outlaws, is the first goalie ever to win Rookie of the Year, and carried a 12.55 goals against average and a save percentage of 54.5, which ranked 2nd best among MLL goalies.
The Outlaws finished their 2016 season with a record of 8-6 overall and are set for the playoffs. They will face the New York Lizards on Saturday, August 13 in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Kelly, who graduated in 2016, finished his Brown career with 673 saves, a Brown record.
Kelly was named a first team all-american and led the country in save percentage. He was a two-time All-Ivy and All-New England selection.
Kelly joined Brown goalie greats Kelly Dick Alter (1966), Greg Cattrano (1997) and Jordan Burke (2009) as USILA Outstanding Goalie Award recipients.
