Brown's Dylan Molloy taken #1 overall in MLL DraftBrown lacrosse star Dylan Molloy was drafted number one in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) draft to kick off a big day for college lacrosse in Rhode Island.
Overall, six players from Rhode Island Schools were drafted on Sunday during the 2017 MLL Draft at Toby Keith's at Patriot Place in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
Molloy was selected with the first overall pick by the Florida Launch in Sunday's draft. He is the first Brown lacrosse player to be drafted in the first round.
He is the third leading goal scorer in NCAA History with 197 goals, while his 318 points is sixth best in NCAA history.
Molloy is a three-time All-American, a two-time Ivy League Player of the Year and the 2016 USILA Outstanding Player of the Year and Attackman of the Year.
Midfielder Larken Kemp was picked 17th overall by the Denver Outlaws, where he will join former Brown goaltender Jake Kelly, who was drafted last season.
At Brown, Kemp played 65 games in his career netting 26 goals and picking up 30 assists for a total of 56 points.
In 2017, Kemp tallied eight goals and 9 assists while picking up 77 ground balls.
Jarrod Neumann - 25th Overall - Florida Launch
Defenseman Jarrod Neumann was drafted in the third round by the Launch.
Neumann was named a USILA/NIKE All-American following the 2017 season after he totaled three points on two goals and one assist. He also picked up 27 ground balls and forced 18 turnovers.
In his career at Providence, Neumann started 52 of 53 games for the Friars, helping lead them to the Big East Championship game in 2017.
Alec Tulett - 29th Overall - Florida Launch
Tulett was picked by the Launch with the second pick in the fourth round.
He played 64 career games at Brown, all on defense, over four years, totaling 11 goals and 21 assists for a total of 32 points.
In 2017, he played 14 games, totaled two goals and four assist for a total of six points.
Tucker JamesBryant attackman Tucker James was selected 52nd overall by the New York Lizards.
He is the first player in Bryant’s Division I history to score 70 points in a season, leading the Bulldogs with 43 goals and 27 assists. He finished the year ranked 26th nationally in points per game with 3.6.
In his career, James started all 73 games that he played in and notched 141 goals and 85 assists.
Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's syndrome in 1984, a disease that commonly results from head trauma from activities like boxing.
Howe passed away at 88 years old following a storied career in the National Hockey League with the Detroit Red Wings and in the World Hockey Association.

RI Pee Wee Football Team Plays 18-Year-Old Against 12 and 13 Year Olds
Following a loss to #1 Duke at Mohegan Sun Arena, GoLocalProv questioned Hurley's play calling and coaching in an analysis piece.

Brown Lax's Molloy Wins Tewaaraton Award
Brown Lacrosse star Dylan Molloy was named the winner of the Tewaaraton Award, recognizing him as the top men's college lacrosse player in the country.
Molloy was named first team all-American and led the country in points (116) and assists (54) while ranking third in the country in goals with 62.

Dunn is the first PC player to be drafted in the first round since MarShon Brooks in 2011 and is the first Friar to be drafted in the top 10 since Otis Thorpe was taken 9th overall in 1984.
Dunn is the 4th PC player to be drafted in the top 5 of the NBA Draft behind Jimmy Walker, Marvin Barnes and Ernie DiGregorio.
