NEW: RI's Acciari Signs Two-Year Deal With Boston Bruins Worth $725K Annually

Noel Acciari signs two-year deal with Bruins
Rhode Island native and former Providence College hockey star Noel Acciari has re-signed with the Boston Bruins on a two-year, one-way contract that is worth an average of $725,000 annually.

A one-way contract means the Bruins are expecting Acciari to play soley in the NHL, as opposed to bouncing back and forth between Boston and Providence which he has done over his two NHL seasons.

Acciari appeared in 29 games with the Bruins in 2016-17, scoring two goals and recording three assists with 16 penalty minutes.

He also posted one goal in four postseason games with the Bruins.

Acciari has played in 48 career NHL games. 

Playing with the AHL's Providence Bruins in 2016-17, Acciari tallied six goals and recorded eight assists in 30 games.

He was signed by the Bruins as a free agent on June 8, 2015.

Following his career at Hendricken, he played at Providence College where helped the Friars win the national championshp in 2015.

Acciari finished his Providence College career with a total of 32 goals and 33 assists for 65 points.
