This season, the Friars bring in ten new players -- nine freshman and one sophomore.

Freshmen Kasper Björkqvist, a 2nd round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Brandon Duhaime, a 4th round draft pick of the Minnesota Wild, were selected in this past summer’s NHL Entry Draft.

Incoming sophomore transfer Scott Conway was a Big Ten All-Rookie Team selection while at Penn State in 2014-15.

PC Hockey in 2015-16

Providence is coming off a 27-7-4 season in 2015-16 that saw them get ranked number one in the country for the first time since 1983.

PC would go on to win a share of the Hockey East Regular Season title, but lose in the semifinals of the Hockey East Tournament.

The Friars advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season but lost to Minnesota-Duluth in the first round.
