MA Gained 4,700 Jobs in March

MA Governor Charlie Baker
While Rhode Island lost 500 jobs in the month of March, Massachusetts announced that they have added 4,700 jobs in the month, according to the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development.

However, as GoLocalProv reported on Friday, "less than five hours after the DLT reported the state lost 500 jobs, Raimondo was claiming 700 new jobs and record employment."

When asked about the new numbers, Raimondo’s office admitted that they used a different data source rather than what has been the standard reported data by DLT.

A GoLocal review found that while DLT was consistent each month in reporting the number of jobs, Raimondo’s press office toggles back and forth to between data sources to find the best number.
