7 Major Coronavirus Developments — U.S. Exceeds 100,000 Deaths Today — May 26, 2020

Sometime before noon on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, the 100,000 American coronavirus death will be recorded.

Nearly all these Americans have died in just three months. Most of the dead have been elderly and many had other health issues, but not all -- thousands and thousands of those who died were seemingly in good health.

In Rhode Island, the state has crossed over the 600 death milestone. And, hundreds more will die.

The University of Washington's IMHE modeling predicts 1,000 Rhode Islanders will die due to COVID-19 by early August.

Last week, was Rhode Island's second-deadliest week.

As the disease continues to spread across the country, and it is clear that scientists and public health experts have much to learn about the disease.

Next week, Rhode Island begins to loosen many restrictions and moves to phase two -- allowing in restaurant dining, hair styling, and in-office working.
