Juvenile Beaten Unconscious, Suffered Skull Fracture in Assault in Prov Restaurant Parking Lot

An assault took place in Providence this week in which a juvenile was attacked by multiple assailants with a pipe outside of a fast food establishment.

The victim was hospitalized for his injuries.

About Incident 

Police say they have investigated a fight that occurred outside of the Popeyes on Reservoir Avenue on Monday. 

According to police, two juveniles assaulted a 17-year-old with a lead pipe, knocking him to the ground, at which time the suspects continued to beat him.

One of the juveniles kicked the victim as he lay unconscious, say police. 

The victim suffered a skull fracture and was hospitalized; his injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening. 

A third suspect reportedly stabbed another 17-year-old in the altercation. 

Police say all three suspects have been arrested and charged, and were sent to the Rhode Island Training School following their appearance in Family Court.
