Police then reported receiving calls for a gunshot victim in the area.

Upon arrival, police met with the victim, who said he had been shot while walking on Bernon Street — where police found multiple bullet casings.

According to the victim, he had been at the gas station at 201 Smith Street a short time earlier when he exchanged words with “four men wearing ski masks” in a four door sedan.

It was a short time after the incident that the victim said he saw the same sedan pull up to him on Bernon Street, when the front seat passenger jumped out and began shooting at him. The victim then fled and called police.

Police say the victim was grazed in the head and shot in the foot in the incident.

Detectives are currently investigating.
