Providence Police are investigating a man being shot in the city on Thursday night.

According to police, the man was shot coming out of Mandarin Garden shortly after 6 PM.
The restaurant is located on Chalkstone Avenue near Smith Street.
The victim underwent surgery at Rhode Island Hospital, according to police.
Police say the victim is 27 years old.
There is no additional information about the victim or potential suspects at this time.
