Man Stabbed at Providence Gas Station on Sunday

Providence Police responded to a stabbing at the Shell Station on Elmwood Avenue and found a man with a serious laceration on his arm.

The incident took place early on Sunday morning.

According to Providence Police, the 19-year-old victim had been stabbed in his left arm.

The victim told Providence Police that an unknown male approached him with a long knife.

“[The victim] stated to police that John Doe approached him on foot and stabbed him one time in the left forearm area. John Doe then fled the scene, heading inbound on Broad Street. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of John Doe at the time of the incident,” according to Providence Police.

Providence Fire Department’s Rescue 4 responded to the scene and transported the victim to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
