Shooting in Providence on Labor Day

Multiple bullets were shot into a vehicle on Felix Street in Providence at about 4:00 PM on Monday.

 

No one was injured in the shooting.

Police learned that an individual in a ski mask was seen in the vicinity of the shooting.

 

This was the second reported shooting this weekend.

 

As GoLocal previously reported, a 19-year-old man was shot multiple times. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.

 

Sunday's shooting was the fourth time a teenager was shot in Providence in the past month.

 

The shooting took place on Flower Street, which is near Merino Park. That shooting took place on Sunday morning.

 

This is just the latest in a series of shootings in Providence.

 

Recently, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley claimed in a fundraising letter for his campaign that his leadership has led to a decrease in crime.
