South Kingstown Police Make 3 Separate DUI Arrests in Less Than 90 Minutes
The South Kingstown Police Department arrested three individuals for suspicion of driving under the influence of liquor and/or drugs in separate incidents. The three arrests took place in less than 90 minutes of one another.

According to South Kingstown Police, “At approximately 11:53 PM, a motor vehicle stop was conducted for a speeding violation. The operator, Gabriel Plummer, 33, of 33 Scenic Drive, Worcester, MA, displayed signs of impairment and admitted to consuming alcohol. Plummer was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.”
In a separate incident, police said, “At approximately 12:11 AM, officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into the median on Old Tower Hill Road in front of Burger King. Witnesses reported observing the operator pouring out alcohol after the crash. The operator, George Lenihan, 61, of 31 Oak Dell Street, South Kingstown, RI, was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.” Lenihan was arraigned and will next appear in Washington County District Court on August 28, 2025.
The third arrest cited was “at approximately 1:14 AM, officers responded to a reported single-car crash into a tree at 680 Usquepaugh Road. Responding officers found the operator, Gregory Southworth, 41, of 100 Austin Farm Road, Exeter, RI, displaying signs of impairment. Southworth was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC Greater than .15 – 2nd Offense.”
All three were arranged and are scheduled to appear in Washington County District Court on August 28, 2025.
