As of 3:30 AM Friday, the hurricane had been downgraded to a Category 1 after it made landfall. It continues to have sustained winds of 90 MPH.

Personnel from the South Pasadena Fire Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office have been responding to emergency calls as much as possible.
While conducting water rescue efforts, they came across a residence on fire and large objects including dumpsters moving through floodwaters.
Crews will continue to respond when possible but conditions are severe and the worst is believed to still be ahead.
More than 1.5 million are without power across four states.
