Benintendi's Two Home Runs Lift Red Sox Over Orioles 7-3

Andrew Benintendi hit two home runs to lift the Red Sox to a win
Andrew Benintendi hit two home runs and Chris Sale went six innings as the Boston Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles 7-3 on Sunday in Baltimore. 

Boston dropped the first two games of the series, before coming back to win two straight and earn a series split. 

Sale struck out nine en route to his sixth straight win, he is now 7-2 on the season.

The Red Sox improve to 31-25 overall. 

Red Sox Storm Back 

Trailing 3-2 after the first inning, Benintendi hit a solo home run in the third inning to tie the game at three. 

Boston would take the lead in the sixth inning with two unearned runs on a throwing error by Baltimore catcher Francisco Pena. 

Benintendi would add to the lead with a solo home run in the seventh to put Boston up 6-3.The home run would be Benintendi's second home run of the game. 

Boston would add one more run in the ninth to take the 7-3 win.

The Red Sox have a day off on Monday, June 5 before beginning a three-game series with the New York Yankees in the Bronx on Tuesday, June 6. 

First pitch is set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday. 

The pitching matchup is Boston’s Drew Pomeranz against New York’s Masahiro Tanaka.
