Brown Football Hosts Yale on Saturday

The Brown Bears football team returns to action on Saturday afternoon when they host the Yale Bulldogs a Brown Stadium.

The Bears have lost their last two games by a combined four points, with Cornell and Penn each nailing field goals in the final seconds.

Brown is 1-6 on the season and 0-4 in the Ivy League, while Yale is 6-1 overall and 3-1 I the Ivy League.

Game time is set for 12:30 p.m.

Brown vs Yale

Brown and Yale have met 123 times, dating back to 1880, with the Bulldogs holding an 83-35-5 series advantage.

Yale has won the last two meetings, including a 46-16 decision last year in New Haven.

In 2016, LJ Harriott '20 ran for 92 yards and a touchdown to lead the Bears to a 27-22 win over the Bulldogs in Providence. 

Brown Offense

The Bears offense comes into the game averaging 437 total yards per game, which is good for 29th best in the country through seven games.

They averaged just 285 total yards per game in 2018.

Brown quarterback EJ Perry ranks second in the country in total offense with 351.3 yards per game.

Perry accounted for 463 yards of total offense and three touchdowns last week against Cornell.

He also ranks tenth in the country in completions, with 24 per game.

Wide receiver Jakob Prall leads the Bears in receptions with 30, and receiving yards with 409.

Running back Allen Smith has averaged 58 rushing yards per game with a team-high six touchdowns.

Brown Defense

The Bears defense enters Saturday’s contest giving up an average of 41 points per game on the season.

Jason Medeiros leads the Bears with 37 tackles on the season and two interceptions.

Elijah Pierre leads Brown with 2.5 sacks, while Michael Hoecht follows up with two sacks on the season.
