Brown Ends Season With 73-62 Loss to Harvard

The Brown Bears (13-18, 4-10 Ivy) concluded their season with a 72-62 loss to (21-7, 11-3) Harvard on Saturday night in Boston. Harvard's win, combined with Yale's loss to Dartmouth means the two teams will meet next week in a one game playoff for the right to go to the NCAA tournament.

Brown led 34-30 after a Rafael Maia layup with 18 minutes to play in the second half but from that point, the Crimson ripped off a 20-6 run to take a  50-40 lead with 13 minutes to play in the game.

The Bears would not get closer than eight points the rest of the way. 

Brown was led by Cedric Kuakumensah who poured in 23 points and pulled down seven rebounds while Rafael Maia recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. 

Harvard was led by Silyani Chambers who poured in 15 points off t he bench while three players (Travis, Smith, Saunders) followed up with 12 points each.
