Patriots Place Bennett, Ebner on Injured Reserve

The New England Patriots have placed tight end Marcellus Bennett on injured reserve, ending his season.

Bennett played two games for the Patriots after the team claimed him off waivers following his release from Green Bay.

In two games this season with New England, Bennett had six catches for 53 yards on six targets.

Bennett was released from Green Bay for failing to disclose a medical condition.

Ebner Added to IR

The Patriots also placed special teamer Nate Exner on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury during Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.

The injury took place during the first series of the game when Ebner took a snap on a fake punt and picked up the first down before getting injured.

Next up 

The Patriots are 9-2 on the season and hit the road this week to face AFC East rival Buffalo on Sunday. 

Game time is set for 1 p.m.
