PC Basketball Gets Commitment from 3-Star Forward Davis

The Providence College men’s basketball team received a verbal commitment fro three-star forward Jyare Davis on Sunday night.

Davis is ranked as a three-star recruit, and the 46th best small forward in the country by Rivals.com.

He will join Providence in September of 2020 along with Alyn Breed, who the Friars got a commitment from back in November.

Davis and Breed are currently the only two members of PC’s 2020 class.

About Davis

Davis is listed at 6’7” out of the Sanford School in Delaware.

He was named Delaware’s Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior.

Davis missed all of last summer’s AAU circuit due to injury, but is back playing this fall for Sanford.

Most recently, at the Slam Dunk to the Beach showcase, Davis led Sanford with 18 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field in their game against Lake Clifton.

Davis will next be in Springfield, Massachusetts as Sanford takes on Albany Academy at the Hoophall Classic on January 18.

PC This Season

This season, Providence is currently 9-6 overall and 2-0 in the Big East after edging DePaul 66-65 on Saturday afternoon.

The Friars return to action on Tuesday, January 7 when they visit Marquette.

Game time is set for 7 p.m.
