After a scoreless first period, Harvard got on the board just one minute and nine seconds into the second period.

On the power play, Harvard's Tyler Moy beat PC goaltender Hayden Hawkey on a wrist shot from the bottom of the faceoff circle to give the Crimson a 1-0 lead.

The Friars would get a power play of their own in the period but were held scoreless despite four shots on goal.

The Crimson would extend their lead to 2-0 in the closing minutes of the period on a backhander by Adam Fox from the top of the crease.

Providence put pressure on in the third, but the Crimson were able to hold on. Moy scored an empty net goal at the 18:09 mark of the period to seal the win.

PC is now 14-18 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and 7-6-1 when playing at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.
