19-Year-Old Shot Multiple Times in Providence Overnight

A 19-year-old man was shot multiple times. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.

The shooting took place on Flower Street, which is near Merino Park.

 

The shooting took place on Sunday morning.

 

This is just the latest in a series of shootings in Providence.

 

Last weekend, a 17-year-old was shot on Public Street on Sunday.

 

Just three weekends earlier, two 16-year-olds were shot and hospitalized.

 

Recently, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley claimed in a fundraising letter that his leadership has led to a decrease in crime.
