Two men were shot late Wednesday night while sitting on a park bench, according to police.

The two were playing cards when the incident occured.

One of the men is dead and the other is in critical condition.

The shooting took place on Harvard Avenue, off of Broad Street.

Police have not disclosed a motivation.

This is the fourth homicide of the year in Providence.

Victims Identified

On Thursday morning, police identified the victims as Corey Towns, age 34 (deceased) and Cesar Mason, age 48.
