NEW: Shots Fired Into House in Providence - Striking Fridge in Kitchen

Providence police are investigating a report of shots fired in the city overnight.

 

According to police, shortly after 4 AM on Monday, police responded to Daniel Avenue, off of Plainfield Street, for a report of shots fired into a house.

Police said that when they arrived, the resident told police that when she got up, she found multiple bullet holes in her kitchen window; her refrigerator was struck by a bullet.  

 

Officers say that multiple shell casings were found at the scene and taken into evidence.
