VIDEO: Red Sox Beat Houston 7-5 in Game 2, Tie ALCS 1-1

Mookie Betts leads the Red Sox to a game 2 win
The Boston Red Sox held off the Houston Astros 7-5 in game two of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) on Sunday night at Fenway Park.

The series is now tied 1-1 as it switches to Houston.

Red Sox Rally Past Houston

Trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the third, the Red Sox got a single from Xander Bogaerts, a double from Steve Pearce and a walk by Rafael Devers to put three men on base.

After Ian Kinsler struck out, Jackie Bradley Jr. belted a three-run double off the Green Monster to score Bogaerts, Pearce, and Devers and give Boston a 5-4 lead.

Still leading 5-4 n the bottom of the seventh, Betts scored from third base on a wild pitch to give the Red Sox a 6-4 lead.

The Red Sox would add another run in the eighth when Betts hit a double to centerfield to score Rafael Devers and increase Boston’s lead to 7-4.

In the top of the ninth, Red Sox closer Craig KImbrel gave up one run before getting Alex Bregman to fly out to Andrew Benintendi just in front of the Green Monster.

David Price’s Night

David Price made the start for the Red Sox looking for his first postseason win.

Price went 4.2 innings, giving up five hits and four earned runs while walking four and striking out four.

Price does not get credit for the win.

Game 3 

Game three of the series is set for Tuesday, October 16 in Houston. 

First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
