NEW: RI Gas Prices Rise 10 Cents From Last Week

Rhode Island gas prices have risen ten cents from last week, according to AAA Northeast.

AAA’s April 23 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.75 per gallon, the highest local price since 2015.

“Demand is at record levels for this time of year – more drivers are hitting the roads as warmer weather starts to spread across the country. If this trend of high demand and declining supply continues, drivers are likely to see pump prices continue to climb as the country settles into spring,” said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs.
