Upon arrival police spoke to the victim, who reported to police that she was standing at the cash register when she felt someone behind her and thought that it was her co-worker.
According to police, she stated that she looked back and saw a female subject that was not her co-worker. The victim described the female subject as a "white female with purple, blue and green colored hair dressed in a green camo jacket, crunched down with what appeared to be a knife in her hand."
The victim stated that the female subject grabbed approximately 20 Newport menthol cigarette packs from the shelf behind her then fled outside the store past the point of sale.
A short time later police located the suspect in the area of 300 Elmwood Avenue, who was turned over to detectives.
