PC Bounces Back With 74-65 Win at Creighton

The Providence College Friars men's basketball team (14-5,4-2) defeated the (9-10, 0-6 ) Creighton Blue Jays 74-65 on Saturday night. With the win, the Friars move into a tie for second place in the Big East Conference.

The Friars led 23-22 with three minutes left in the first half  when Jalen Lindsey nailed a three-pointer, sparking Providence on a 13-2 run to close that half and take 34-24 lead to the locker room.

Creighton got as close as seven in the second half but timely shots by Kris Dunn and LaDontae Henton  kept the Blue Jays momentum from building any further. 

Providence was led by Kris Dunn who netted 21 points, dished out seven assists and grabbed eight rebounds. 

LaDontae Henton followed up with 18 points and three rebounds. 

Creighton was led by James Milliken who had a game high 22 points in the loss. 

Providence returns to action on Thursday, January 22 when they host Xavier. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
