Thomas Hunold: 16 to Watch in 2016 in RI

He’s quietly been working his way into the upper echelons of the Providence culinary scene, as much for his support in the community as his skills in the kitchen. 

GoLocal had the opportunity to catch up with Hunold before the 2nd Annual Billy Taylor House slider cook-off this past summer to benefit the community organization; Hunold then guest-starred at Education in Action’s “Night in the City” fundraiser in December to help that organization.

This past year, after a brief stint at Capri, he’s now with Gianfranco Marrocco’s new Biergarten on Spruce Street on Federal Hill (formerly Smoke), which Marrocco (one of GoLocal’s 14 Who Made a Difference in 2014)opened following the close of Mediterraneo.
