Carjacking Reported at India Point Saturday Night, Providence Police Investigating

Providence Police are investigating a report of a carjacking at India Point overnight.

Shortly before 11 PM on Saturday, police responded to India Street for a report of a carjacking. 

A female victim told police she was sitting in her car by the walking bridge talking on the phone with friends, when a car pulled up -- and two men approached her vehicle.

She said one of the men -- who was masked -- was holding a gun, and demanded she get out of the car.

The two men then drove off with her vehicle. 

Police are investigating.
