GoLocal has secured copies of two cellphone videos that show inside Club Revel where multiple people were injured in a shooting inside the Providence nightclub last weekend.

The establishment — Club Revel — is where 24-year-old Danny Zarius was shot and killed outside of the club in August. 

 

About Incident

Shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday morning, police responded to the club — located at 162 O’Connell Street — for a report of shots fired inside the club.

According to witnesses, a fight broke out by the DJ booth, when a man started shooting. 

Police say that upon arrival, they found the club in total disarray, with blood on the floor, broken bottles and furniture, and shoes left behind. 

After evacuating the club, police found multiple gunshot victims — including one that is in critical condition as of Sunday morning. 

One male had a gunshot wound to his shoulder; another male had multiple gunshot wounds, and a female sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. 

Police said that when they responded to Rhode Island Hospital, they also encountered a female victim with lacerations to her back incurred while trying to flee the club. 

The Providence Board of License temporarily shut down the club during an emergency meeting. The matter will be taken up on November 3 by the Board.

Providence has been suffering through one of the most violent periods in recent decades.
