The win improves Rhode Island to 3-1 on the season, while Harvard falls to 2-1.
It is the first time since the 2005 season that Rhode Island has won two road games.

Trailing 3-2 after the first quarter, URI quarterback JaJuan Lawson connected with Joey Kenny on a 37-yard touchdown pass to put the Rams up 9-2 after the extra point.
It was Kenny’s first career touchdown.
Rhode Island would add to the lead when Lawson called his own number rushed one into the end zone to give the Rams a 16-3 lead.
Rhode Island would take that lead into the half.
After Harvard opened the second half with a field goal to make it 16-6, URI’s Ahmere Dorsey returned the ensuing kickoff 97 yards to the end zone to put the Rams up 23-6.
The Crimson would add another field goal near the end of the third quarter to cut URI’s lead to 23-9.
Harvard scored early in the fourth quarter on a 36-yard touchdown run by Devin Darrington to cut it to a one-score game, 23-16.
However, Rhode Island’s defense held up the rest of the way.
Lawson finished the game completing 12 of 16 passes for 153 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Wide receiver Isaiah Coulter hauled in six passes for 106 yards.

The Rams return to action Saturday, October 6 when they host Brown University in the Governor’s Cup game.
Game time is set for 1 p.m.
