The Brown Bears men’s basketball team got 24 points from Brandon Anderson and 22 points from freshman Desmond Cambridge en route to a 81-67 win over in-state rival Bryant University on Sunday night in Smithfield.

"Our team is virtually brand new. We have a roster of guys who can step up and win games. The energy we gave on the defensive end fueled our success on offense," said Brown head coach Mike Martin after the game.

From that point, Brown would take over.

A three by Brown’s Zach Hunsaker would give Brown a 60-59 lead and spark a 15-1 run capped off by two Anderson free throws to give the Bears a 72-60 lead with 2:58 left to play.

Bryant would not get closer than six points the rest of the way.
