Bruins to Open 2018-19 Season Against Defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington

Charlie McAvoy and the Bruins will open their season in Washington
The Boston Bruins will open the 2018-19 season on the road against the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals.

The season opener will take place on Wednesday, October 3 and will feature the Capitals raising their Stanley Cup banner prior to the game.

Boston’s home opener will take place on Monday afternoon, October 8 against the Ottawa Senators at 1 p.m.

All single game tickets go on sale on Friday, June 22 at 2 p.m.

Other Notable Games

Due to teams releasing their home openers, there are two additional games that are known.

On Thursday, October 4, the Bruins will travel to Buffalo to take on the Sabres at 7 p.m.

Then on Thursday, October 18, Boston will travel to Edmonton to take on the Oilers.

Full NHL Schedule to be Released

The NHL will release full team schedules on Thursday, June 21, but teams are being allowed to publicize the dates of their home openers.
