PC's Henton Named Big East Player of the Week

Providence College Friars forward LaDontae Henton has been named the Big East Player of the Week for the week of February 20. 

In the Friars only game last week, Henton notched his fourth double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds in the Friars 84-57 road win over DePaul. 

Henton's 22 points came on 7-of-14 shooting from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line.

LaDontae Henton lead the Friars and the Big East in scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game. 

Henton is also on course to become only the second player in Providence College history to score at least 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds. With four games remaining in the season, LaDontae Henton currently sits at 1,946 points and 993 rebounds. 

The Providence College Friars are currently 19-8 overall and 9-5 in the Big East.

Providence returns to action on Tuesday, February 24 when they visit #6 Villanova. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
