Providence trailed by 11 points with just under 18 minutes to go in the game and clawed back to cut their deficit to two, 59-57, with just under seven minutes to go after LaDontae Henton knocked down two free throws.

Providence was led by Kris Dunn who netted 23 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out one assist while LaDontae Henton followed up with 13 points.
The Red Storm were led by Sir'Dominic Pointer who netted 20 points in the game.
The Friars return to action on Wednesday, February 4 when they visit #21 Georgetown. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m.

Five Takeaways From the Friars 75-66 Loss to St. John's
Junior Lomomba
Junior Lomomba has been in the starting lineup for the Friars over the last couple of games and has not done all that much. He is in there due to the ineffectiveness of Jalen Lindsey and Kyron Carwright.
Lomomba had three points against St. John's, zero points against DePaul, six points against Xavier and zero points against Creighton.
He averages 1.9 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game.
Tyler Harris
After having four straight games in double-figures, Tyler Harris fell back into the single digits against St. John's. Harris netted only six points on 3-of-7 shooting from the field in 20 minutes of play off the bench.
Harris did not get to the free-throw line once in the game and only grabbed three rebounds and had no assists.
He also had three turnovers in the game.
LaDontae Henton
LaDontae Henton netted 13 points against St. John's which was good enough for second on the team in scoring behind Kris Dunn.
However, as has been a growing trend over the last couple of games, Henton did not shoot the ball well from the field.
Against St. John's Henton went 2-of-14 from the field and in previous games he went: 4-of-10 vs DePaul, 9-of-18 vs Xavier, 4-of-9 vs Creighton, and 9-of-17 and 4-of-16 vs St. John's and Georgetown respectively.
Henton is also 1-of-16 from three-point land in the last three game for the Friars.
Kris Dunn
Kris Dunn had an impressive triple-double in the Friars last game against DePaul but in this game did not come anywhere close.
Dunn netted 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field but only grabbed four rebounds and dished out one assist in the game. Dunn has averaged nearly eight assists per game for the Friars this season.
Turnovers continue to plague Kris Dunn as he turned the ball over four times against St. John's and has turned the ball over at least four times in four of the Friars last five games.
Tough Road Ahead Now
This was an important game for the Friars because of the upcoming schedule and now the already tough schedule will get even tougher after this loss to St. John's.
PC remains on the road to face #21 Georgetown on Wednesday night and then visit Xavier next Saturday. The Friars finally return home when they host #7 Villanova in what could be a pivitol game in the season. Seton Hall comes in after that.
PC needs to get at least one of the next two road games and then beat Villanova and Seton Hall to get themselves back on track. They need to get to 10 conference wins, one way or the other.
