PC Falls 75 - 66 To St. John's at MSG

The Providence College Friars men's basketball tam (16-6, 6-3) fell 75-66 to (14-7, 3-5 ) St. John's on Saturday afternoon at Madison Square Garden in New York. St. John's sweeps the season series over the Friars and snaps their three game winning streak.

Providence trailed by 11 points with just under 18 minutes to go in the game and clawed back to cut their deficit to two, 59-57, with just under seven minutes to go  after LaDontae Henton knocked down two free throws.

However, the Friars would not get that close again as St. Johns would rip off 10 straight points to go up 69-57 with three minutes left to seal the game. 

Providence was led by Kris Dunn who netted 23 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out one assist while LaDontae Henton followed up with 13 points. 

The Red Storm were led by Sir'Dominic Pointer who netted 20 points in the game. 

The Friars return to action on Wednesday, February 4 when they visit #21 Georgetown. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m.
