With the game tied at nine, a DePaul turnover led to a LaDontae Henton layup to put PC up 11-9. That layup sparked a 15-3 Friar run to put them up 24-12 in the first half with just under eight minutes to go.

LaDontae Henton led Providence with 22 points and 11 rebounds while Kris Dunn added 21 points, four assists, four steals and four rebounds to help lead the Frairs.
DePaul was led by Billy Garrett Jr. who netted 11 points.
PC returns to action on February 24 when they visit #6 Villanova. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Five Takeaways From PC's 84-57 Win Over Depaul
Ben Bentil
Freshman Ben Bentil recorded his second career double-double against DePaul with 12 points and ten rebounds in 30 minutes of play time.
Bentil's 12 points came on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.
Bentil has reached double figures in scoring in three of the last six games and has reached double figures in rebounding in two of the last four games.
Kris Dunn
Kris Dunn posted another solid performance for the Friars, netting 21 points, dishing out four assists and grabbing four rebounds and picking up four steals.
Dunn's 21 points came on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and 11-of-12 from the free throw line.
This is the eighth time this season that Dunn has had at least 20 points in a game and is his 13th straight game in which Dunn has been in double figures scoring.
2-3 Zone
The Providence 2-3 zone caused DePaul all sorts of problems in this game.
The Blue Demons shot 34% from the field, including 39 % from three-point land.
Providence forced 16 turnovers, ten of which came on steals and blocked four shots. Kris Dunn led PC with four steals in the game.
LaDontae Henton
LaDontae Henton led the Friars with 22 points and 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.
Henton's 22 points came on 7-of-14 shooting from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line.
The last time Henton was not in double figures was the December 5 game against Boston College.
LaDontae Henon now sits at 1,946 points and 993 rebounds in his career, closing in on 2,000 and 1,000. If and when he reaches this milestone, Henton's career will go down as one of the greatest in Friars history.
Big win - Had to win
This was not a big win because DePaul is a great team, or even a good team, this was a big win because the Friars had to win this game and they dominated it.
A loss in this game would have been devastating given that PC now pays a visit to #6 Villanova next week.
The Friars are now at nine wins with four games (two home, two road) left in the season before the Big East Tournament.
