Rhode Island would add to their lead in the second quarter when Priore connected with Ed Lee on a nine-yard touchdown pass to push the lead to 14-0 after the Carrick extra point.
Merrimack would get on the board just before the half the running back Matt Brehon dove into the end zone from two yards out to make the score 14-7 at the break.
From there, it was all URI in the second half.
In the opening minute of the third quarter, URI’s Malik Gavek would return an interception 30 yards for a touchdown to put the Rams up 21-7 in the third quarter following Carrick’s extra point.
The Rams defense came up with three interceptions and two fumble recoveries in the game.
Still leading by three scores in the fourth, the Rams offense would explode for 21 fourth-quarter points to seal the win.
Priore finished the game completing 16 of 25 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, senior Aaron Parker hauled in eight passes for 126 yards and a touchdown.

URI returns to action on Saturday, November 9 when they visit William & Mary.
Game time is set for 1 p.m.
