URI Football to Face William & Mary for First Time Since 2013

URI football hosts William & Mary this weekend
The URI Rams football team will look to snap a two-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon when they host William & Mary at Meade Stadium.

The Rams enter the game with a record of 4-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

William & Mary comes in with a record of 3-4 overall and 2-3 in conference.

URI vs William & Mary

Saturday’s game will mark the 17th meeting between the two programs, with William & Mary leading 13-3.

However, the two teams have not met since 2013, with William & Mary winning that game 20-0.

The last Rhode Island win in the series came in 2011.

URI Offense

The Rams offense enters the game averaging 33.7 points per game and 246 passing yards per game.

The offense has been led over the last few games by sophomore Vito Priore, who has completed 52 of 96 passes for 687 yards.

Running back Zoe Bryant Jr. has carried the ball 81 times for 339 yards and three touchdowns.

Aaron Parker and Isaiah Coulter continue to lead the wide receiver group.

Parker has hauled in 38 passes for 563 yards and six touchdowns, while Coulter has caught 34 passes for 518 yards and three touchdowns.

URI Defense

The Rhode Island defense ranks second in the conference and 21st in the country with 18 sacks through six games.

Eight different players have contributed sacks this season. Junior L.B. Mack III leads the team with six, while Andre Bibeault and senior Nas Jones have three.

The URI defense comes in giving up an average of 30 points and 365 yards per game so far this season.
